Every form of energy always follows the easiest path to its transmission.

Vibration is energy. 

The peculiar counter veined plywood structure of the       "Ballerina 301" is designed to offer a single preferential path to the flow of vibrations, as visible in the scheme on the left.

The thicker and stiffer back structure collects the energy making it inefficient, and the eventual residuals are completely dispersed in the high mass “delta” structure at the bottom of the loudspeaker. Furthermore the absence of closed enclosures in the main frame provides vibrations no element that may resonate.
